After a lifetime of safe choices, Cari finally said yes to herself, leaving comfort behind to travel the world solo. With a racing heart and very little experience, she set out in search of connection, adventure, and queer spaces that felt like home.

Aspiring Bohemian is her love letter to every LGBTQ+ woman who’s ever wondered if there’s more out there, and within.

Cari has a rare gift: she turns any trip into an experience of connection and meaning. On a river rafting trip I hosted, she naturally became the glue of the group; sparking conversation, getting women to open up, and encouraging everyone to lean in and make the most of the experience. She was the driving force behind gathering women each morning for skinny dipping in the river. She taught me how to accept myself because she accepts everyone. I felt so safe and seen with her and watched her authentically do that with every woman in the group, just because that’s who she is. Traveling with Cari will leave you lighter, braver, freer, and feeling like you belong.

My wife and I met Cari on a vacation to Cuba. She turned what could have been a nightmare trip (thanks to some tough group dynamics) into a fabulous adventure.
